London market rental trends report

Written by Relocity | April 17, 2025

Over the past three to six months, London has experienced a significant slowdown in rental price growth. As of September 2024, annual rental inflation in the city decreased to 2.5%, down from over 12% the previous year. This deceleration is primarily attributed to renters reaching the limits of affordability, leading to reduced demand in the face of previously steep rent increases. As of October 2024, the average monthly rent in London was £2,172.
