WonderCon Comes to LA for First Time
Tired of fighting traffic for two hours to attend world famous Comic-Con in San Diego every year? This year, for the first time, Los Angeles has its own version of the super-hero themed event: WonderCon! WonderCon is operated by the same people who produce Comic-Con International in San Diego. 2016 will mark WonderCon’s 30th anniversary. As one of the fastest growing and most popular shows on the comic convention circuit, WonderCon boasts a large and varied exhibit floor with a diverse programming schedule that covers everything from comics, television shows, movies, video games, toys and more. The big news is WonderCon 2016 will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown LA, March 25–27 (Easter weekend). This is the first time the team behind Comic-Con International San Diego and WonderCon will do a show in Los Angeles, and we’re incredibly excited to have them here! You can expect the same great features of Comic-Con at WonderCon 2016: a giant Exhibit Hall, filled to the brim with the very best in comics and pop culture; a complete 3-day schedule of programs, including comics, movies, TV, animation, anime, games, the Masquerade, workshops, the Comics Arts Conference, fan culture panels, the Comic Creator Connection, and much more. Bookmark Toucan and the WonderCon Front Page for the latest OFFICIAL information on WonderCon 2016 as it becomes available! Comic-Con International: San Diego, the producer of WonderCon, is a nonprofit educational corporation dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, comics and related popular artforms, primarily through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture.
